Developing Leaders and Yourself Along the Way!

Developing Leaders and Yourself Along the Way!

Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.” — Tom Peters

The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humour, but without folly.” — Jim Rohn

In February we drew approximately 23 selected members from all the provincial centres of Zambia for an induction workshop to help us take the concept of entrepreneurship Development for Job and Wealth Creation to schools and communities of Zambia. They were all given the tools and we provided them with letters of introduction to take to their various community and provincial leaders.

Some of them have created more leaders while others are still struggling to create more leaders.

Our question is, “how come others have managed to create 150 leaders in their respective districts while others have not managed to do so?”.

The answer lies in the above quotations.

Next week we shall be inducting approximately 150 leaders who will be trained in entrepreneurship and basic business skills to provoke entrepreneurial minds among the school-going youths and the community as a way of providing an alternative career pathway for future professional entrepreneurs instead of searching for employment that is not even available.

My business partner and C E O Steward Makanse are making all the arrangements to ensure that everything goes well.

Invited guests have been served with VIP invitation letters.

Among the guest are:

Nyimba District commissioner Mr Paul Daka

His Royal Highness Chief Ndake

EDC Chairperson Dr Lewis Jere

District Education Board Secretary Mr Nedboard Nholomona

District Agricultural Coordinator Mr Robby Msendo

Program Beneficiaries from various entrepreneurship club

Members of the media and general public.

We wish them all the best and we would like to thank our EDC Nyimba District Facilitator Mr Matthews Banda for his leadership and quality of work.
