Chili and Mushroom Growing Project

Chili and Mushroom Growing Project

Chilli and Mushroom growing is part of EDC/CJInvestiment entrepreneurship training program.

EDC/CJI is a start-up that decided to enter the agricultural sector by working on new types of crops. We found an angel investor on social media and partnered with them to test the potential of chilli growing in their home country.

You’re a small farmer looking for a new source of income?

Do you have good knowledge of growing vegetables and the agricultural industry?

We are an enterprise development company that provides farming training and agricultural assistance to small farmers.

Growing Chilli and Mushroom is part of the EDC/CJInvestiment entrepreneurship training program.

The goal is to distribute these skills to communities that need economic opportunities in the long term. Students started growing these vegetables from their home gardens and then selling them in the market for a profit.

We learned from this activity that it can be profitable if done efficiently, and it does not take a lot of time or money to start.

The success of any business depends on the quality of its marketing and technical support.

We have partnered with Mahogany Pvt company of India to provide technical support and marketing services for companies in need. They have a team of professionals who ensure the business is successful.

We will ensure that your work is taken care of so that you can focus on other things.

If we want to be successful, we cannot just invest in one or two industries. We need to be diverse and spread our risk. That is how we are driving this agenda in Zambia.

Investing in chilli growing is an excellent option because the market is not going anywhere anytime soon, and it is also a fun outdoor activity.

We should not let our money go to waste on low ROI ventures when we can use it for some profitable agriculture businesses like mushroom farming.

The e-learning platform is a source of knowledge and education for entrepreneurs.

Angel Investors

Angel investors are a source of funding for startups. They can invest in a company in its early stages and help it grow and develop. Companies usually look for investors because they require less financial risk than venture capital firms and banks.

Angel investors can be hard to find, but fortunately, many platforms are available to help companies find them, such as AngelList or Gust. Companies also have the option of hosting their own events to search for angel investors or posting about them on social media. We employed this strategy to get angel investors to fund some of our current projects in Zambia.
