On the surface, you may think DIY lodging online is quicker, but for most people, this isn’t the case.
Once you add in the time to collate your information, look up your deductions and check to make sure you haven’t made any mistakes, the process takes much longer than an hour. To make the process as convenient and hassle-free as possible, it’s important to come prepared to your appointment. This tax return checklist has a list of all the documents you need to get your taxes done quickly and accurately.

If you lodge your tax return using a tax agent, the usual deadline of October 31st does not apply to you. Working with an agent means you potentially have until May the following year to complete your return.

If you have not lodged your tax return yet, you have less than 5 days to the deadline, 31st October to lodge. H&R Block are offering $25 wish card or $25 off your tax return if you register with them.

People like Simon Bowman don’t like to rely on others for help. But one day, as he lay trapped inside his car after a terrible road accident, with suspected injuries to his spine and shoulder and a possible head trauma, Simon needed life-saving help desperately.
